DIRECTOR´S WELCOME

Reykjavík University offers a truly international MBA program in an extremely dynamic environment. RU is a young, vibrant university with a strong emphasis on innovation, change and international cooperation. This is reflected in our MBA and having graduated five cohorts of MBA students with two more under way, we can say with confidence that the program compares favorably to international MBA programs worldwide. This claim rests on three foundations, which are the international nature of the RU-MBA, quality of faculty and students, and a dual focus on developing professional expertise and personal skills. All courses are taught in English and over 2/3 of the faculty comes from abroad, mostly from highly ranked MBA programs. The faculty is recruited for the demonstrated excellence, as practitioners, researchers, and teachers. The RU MBA also provides students with numerous international learning opportunities, ranging from study semesters at international schools to internships abroad. A critical element of our program is its dual emphasis on rigorous, professional business training on one hand and enhancing personal capabilities on the other hand. We want our people to be able to innovate, change and lead. Therefore, the program focuses not only on people learning about business, but also on people learning about themselves and others to enable them to be better at business.
